Mombasa based artiste Mama Sizo is accusing promoter Eve queen of conning her out of money and also blackmailing her. The singer says that Eve queen stayed in her house for a while and at that time she loaned her money after Eve promised to organise a show for her at the Ivory Pub in Mombasa.
"Eve stayed in my house, as her house was locked up for three months. I had no problem with that because we are all human and sometimes we struggle. I gave her a pair of my house keys and she could come and go as she pleased," Mama Sizo said in a email sent to Word Is.
"In March she wanted to arrange a show for me, because I let her stay in my house for free. However I had to pay for the posters, banners and municipal council fees
in advance saying that we would deduct it later from the profits from the show. I asked her how much will would be and she told me Sh30,000; Sh 7,000 for posters, Sh 8,000 for banners and Sh15000 for Municipal fees. I gave her Sh15000 on March 27 and she told me the posters and banners will be ready by March 31 but that did not happen," said Mama Sizo.
Mama Sizo says the show did not happen and Eve left her house earlier this month. She claims that Eve has been threatening to make her less popular in the showbiz industry and calling 'her ugly and old' . She has reported the matter to Kijipwa police station.
Eve on the other hand says that Mama Sizo owes her Sh170,000 and has also reported the matter to Bamburi police station. "Ivory Pub refused to let her perform because she is not all that popular and had to be accompanied by Nyota Ndogo who at the moment was a bit caught up,"Eve told Word Is.
